The Appledore Star is a 65’ bugeye schooner that can take up to 22 passengers. This makes for an intimate evening away from the large crowds. As we head for the perfect spot to watch another famous Key West Sunset, our crew will welcome you aboard and also welcome you to help hoist sails and take the wheel of this one of a kind schooner!
Not only is this a small sized tour, the Star is also very unique since she is the last known built ship of this oyster dragging bugeye design. The wooden schooner has a wide deck with ample room to get around, there’s also plenty of seating and a marine head on board.
On this unique sunset sailing experience you can enjoy drinks and appetizers throughout the tour, including our famous homemade sangria! You will see many famous sights as we sail away from the bustling historic seaport such as Mallory Square, The Navy Mole where the big ships dock, The Civil War era Fort Zachary Taylor and more!
Once away from Key West, and we’ve neared our destination, the captain will position the Star in a way for the perfect views of the ever so colorful sunset sky which make these tours even more spectacular! Continue enjoying appetizers and beverages as we conclude our sunset watching and begin the sailing adventure back towards Key West.
