The Sunny Days Fast Cat II is a high powered catamaran that is known for its speed. Launched in May, 1999, The Fast Cat II offers comfort and luxury on Dry Tortugas excursions. The cabin is completely air conditioned and offers a wide array of comfortable seating options while indoors. There is a rear sundeck available if outdoor seating is more to your liking, as well.
The Fast Cat was created with pleasure in mind. The wave piercing design ensures that you will have a smooth, pleasant trip. In fact, fewer people experience motion troubles on catamarans. This catamaran, the Fast Cat, is simply one-of-a-kind and will be sure to provide a comfortable and leisurely ride to the Dry Tortugas National Park.
You can find the Dry Tortugas National Park approximately 70 miles west of Key West. The park is made of seven small islands and the waters that surround them. Ponce De Leon originally discovered these islands and named them Las Tortugas. In Spanish, Las Tortugas means the turtles. He named the islands this because there are an abundance of sea turtles in the area. In fact, despite having been seriously hunted over the years there are still numerous varieties of sea turtles in the area.
